Your Hiroshima & Miyajima itinerary

Two days that don’t feel rushed.

Day 13

Saturday, April 10 · Arrive in Hiroshima

Bring a backpack or small overnight bag for our one-night trip. We’ll travel to Hiroshima, check in when our rooms are ready, and explore the city. The plan includes the Hiroshima Castle grounds, the Atomic Bomb Dome, Peace Memorial Park and the memorial/museum area, followed by dinner together.

Our planned hotel is The Royal Park Hotel Hiroshima Riverside, subject to rates and availability. Each traveler books and pays for her own room.

Day 14

Sunday, April 11 · Miyajima & back to Nagoya

After breakfast, we’ll check out of the Hiroshima hotel, bring our small overnight bags, and head for the ferry. Then we’ll spend time on Miyajima—Itsukushima Shrine, the torii, shops, food, deer and room to take it in. A backpack is recommended—it keeps your hands free while we explore. Pack your overnight essentials, leave a little room for shopping, and keep it light enough to carry comfortably.

Our plan is to return to Nagoya together that evening. Sleep in the same Nagoya room you kept, then check out on Monday, April 12, to go home or continue your travels. If you choose a different onward journey, discuss it with Tammy before booking.

The transfer to the ferry and the train schedule are still to be confirmed. Transportation and ferry fares are paid separately; no private vehicle is currently promised.

Our Planned Saturday Night Dinner

April 10, 2027

A little place I remember.

Kuimonoya WAN

Downstairs, tucked into a shopping building, with private rooms and the kind of atmosphere that made my last visit special. Shoes come off, and the low tables have horigotatsu seating—a recessed space underneath for your legs.

Everyone pays for her own dinner and drinks. This meal is not included in the $295 hosted-extension fee.

Dinner plans are subject to availability.

The easy luggage plan: Keep your Nagoya room from March 29 through checkout on April 12, plus book Hiroshima for April 10–11. You pay for both rooms on April 10 so your suitcase can stay put. See all hotel dates and the backpack plan.
