Spring 2027 • MyJapan.life

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Because this is a small-group hosted experience with only eight guest spots, each reservation matters. This policy is designed to be clear before you pay.

Trip dates: March 29–April 9, 2027  •  Last updated: August 31, 2026

What this policy covers

This policy applies to money paid directly to MyJapan.life for the Spring 2027 hosted-experience fee and, if purchased, the optional Hiroshima & Miyajima hosted extension.

Airfare, hotels, meals, local transportation, attraction tickets, travel insurance, and other personal travel expenses are purchased separately by each traveler and are governed by the policies of those third-party providers.

Main experience: $1,995 hosted-experience fee

Your place is secured with a $500 deposit. The deposit is applied toward the total $1,995 hosted-experience fee and is non-refundable because it holds one of the limited guest spots.

If you reserve with the $500 deposit, the remaining $1,495 balance is due February 27, 2027.

Hiroshima & Miyajima extension: $295

The optional $295 hosted-extension fee follows the same 90/60-day schedule:

  • 90 days or more before March 29, 2027: the extension fee is refundable.
  • 60–89 days before March 29, 2027: 50% of the extension fee is refundable.
  • Fewer than 60 days before March 29, 2027: the extension fee is non-refundable.

The extension fee covers MyJapan.life hosting and coordination only. Rail, hotel, meals, ferry/local transportation, admissions and personal expenses are paid separately.

Transferring your reservation

Instead of cancelling, a traveler may request to transfer her reservation to another eligible traveler. Transfers require prior written approval from MyJapan.life and must be requested before the February 27, 2027 final payment deadline.

The replacement traveler must agree to the MyJapan.life terms, complete the required traveler information, and satisfy the same trip-participation requirements. A transfer is not complete until MyJapan.life confirms it in writing.

If MyJapan.life cancels the hosted experience

If MyJapan.life cancels the Spring 2027 hosted experience, the traveler will receive a refund of the MyJapan.life hosted-experience fees she paid. If MyJapan.life cancels the Hiroshima & Miyajima hosted extension, the MyJapan.life extension fee paid will be refunded.

Important: MyJapan.life cannot reimburse airfare, hotels, meals, transportation, attraction tickets, insurance costs, or other third-party expenses because those purchases are made separately by the traveler.

Refund timing

Eligible refunds will be issued within 30 calendar days after we receive your written cancellation. Additional processing time may apply through your payment provider or bank.

If MyJapan.life cancels the hosted experience or extension, the applicable refund will be issued within 30 calendar days after we notify you of the cancellation.

Travel insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended, including coverage for trip cancellation and trip interruption. Travelers should review the policy they purchase to understand covered reasons, exclusions, deadlines and documentation requirements.

Reasonable itinerary changes

Japan—and cherry blossom season in particular—does not always follow a script. MyJapan.life may make reasonable itinerary changes because of weather, transportation schedules, closures, seasonal conditions, safety concerns, availability, or other circumstances outside our control.

When appropriate, comparable experiences may be substituted. Reasonable itinerary changes do not by themselves constitute cancellation of the hosted experience.
